Emotional Versatility for Planetary Sustainability

Our Vision

Deepening self-awareness awakens a sense of responsibility that naturally extends to planetary sustainability, aligning personal growth with the well-being of the Earth.

Our mission is to deepen human understanding of the global challenges we face and the full spectrum of human emotions, recognizing their profound interconnection. We believe that by knowing ourselves more fully—our longings, wounds, gifts, and capacities—we can build more meaningful relationships and contribute to a more just, compassionate, and sustainable world.

We support individuals of all genders in cultivating self-awareness, emotional fluency, and relational wisdom, so that we can better meet their longing for enduring love, and can confidently shape both relationships and social leadership, and people of all identities can take part in caring for each other and the Earth.

Through education, individual, and facilitated groups and workshops, we help restore balance between power and love. Together, we strive for a world where stewardship of all beings, plants, and natural resources is grounded in both personal growth and collective responsibility.

research-driven insights

Trait Emotional Intelligence and Environmental Behavior

A study published in BMC Psychology found that individuals with higher trait emotional intelligence (TEI) exhibited stronger perceptions of climate change and were more engaged in pro-environmental behaviors. This relationship was mediated by a sense of connectedness to nature and feelings of love and care for the environment.

Emotional Intelligence and Adolescent Environmental Behavior

A systematic review published in Frontiers in Psychology examined how personality traits and dimensions of emotional intelligence relate to pro-environmental behavior among adolescents. The findings suggest that specific aspects of emotional intelligence are associated with increased engagement in environmentally friendly actions, aligning with similar studies conducted on adults.

Emotions as Catalysts for Environmental Behavior Change

A study in Ecology and Society identified specific emotions—such as fear, hope, pride, and interest—as particularly influential in prompting environmental behavior change. By understanding and leveraging these emotional responses, interventions can be designed to effectively encourage sustainable behaviors.

"It helped me to feel connected to myself and others because of our willingness to find common ground through our desire to know ourselves and our emotional life. Turns out that we had diverse stories, yet our dialogues showed that we felt the same sensations in our body."
